Dr. Anupa Siddhu, M.Sc. in Food and Nutrition, Delhi University and PhD from AIIMS. She is a recipient of Mahila Shiromani, Swarn Padak 2014, Karan Ratna Award 2014 and Shikshak Award 2014.

Manisha Sabharwal (Lead)

PhD (Food and Nutrition)


With 25 years of experience in teaching and research, Dr. Manisha Sabharwal is currently the Head, Department of Food and Nutrition, Lady Irwin College. She also serves as Lead, NCEARD.


Dr JP Kapoor

Senior Public Health Specialist, Newborn, Children


Dr.J.P.Kapoor has obtained his Master’s Degree in Pediatrics from the University of Delhi. He has over 35 years of experience in Public Health; Planning, organizing, implementation and monitoring of National and State level Public health programmes.

Neena Bhatia

PhD (Food and Nutrition)


Dr. Neena Bhatia has obtained her Masters and Doctoral Degree from the University of Delhi. She has over 27 years of experience in nutrition research, teaching and extension. Her research interests include, Development of Computer and Mobile Based Nutrition Solutions, Maternal and Child Nutrition, Micronutrient Status of Populations, NCD’s and Nutrition Programme Evaluation.

Pulkit Mathur

PhD (Food and Nutrition)


Dr Pulkit Mathur has been teaching and doing research at the Department of Food and Nutrition, Lady Irwin College, for the past 15 years. She did her PhD research work at the Food and Drug Toxicology Research Centre, National Institute of Nutrition, Hyderabad. A gold medallist from University of Delhi, she has to her credit more than 80 publications in National and International Journals, books and periodicals. She was a part of the team that prepared the “Dietary Guidelines for Indians” at National Institute of Nutrition, Indian Council of Medical Research.

Arti Bhanot

M.Sc. , M.Phil


Arti Bhanot M.Sc., M.Phil., is a Cambridge University Commonwealth scholar and an alumni of Lady Irwin College, University of Delhi. Over the last 18 years she has worked in collaboration with Ministries of Health and Family Welfare, Woman and Child Development and Rural Development on maternal, newborn and child health and nutrition through US federal funded programmes and United Nations.

Anjani Bakshi

PhD (Food and Nutrition)


Anjani Bakshi is a clinical nutritionist with over a decade of experience in the area of Food & Nutrition. She is currently engaged with Delhi University as an Assistant professor in the Food and Nutrition Department at Lady Irwin College. She has completed her Ph.D. in Nutritional status and dietary counselling of predialysis patients with chronic kidney disease.

Neha Bakshi

PhD (Nutrition)


She is working as an Assistant Professor at Lady Irwin College for the past 3 years. From 2017 she has been closely associated with NCEARD in the development of communication tools. She has done Masters in Foods and Nutrition from Lady Irwin College, University of Delhi. She has work experience of more than 3 years as a nutritionist in eminent multispecialty hospitals like AIIMS and Medanta- The Medicity hospital.

Dr Sebanti Ghosh



Dr Sebanti Ghosh, currently Country Program Director with Alive & Thrive India is a Public Health & Nutrition Expert, working for over 20 years in the area of Maternal, Newborn & Child Health and Nutrition related evidence based policy & strategic planning support, health systems strengthening, capacity building, community participation and gender mainstreaming in health & nutrition across India and few South Asian countries.

Dr. Nidhi Jaiswal

PhD (Food and Nutrition)


Dr. Nidhi Jaiswal has obtained her MSc in Food and Nutrition from University of Allahabad in 2008 and completed her Ph D on the topic “Nutritional and Biochemical studies on Allium species” under the supervision of Prof. Syed Ibrahim Rizvi, HOD, Department of Biochemistry from the same university in 2014 with UGC Senior Research Fellowship.

William Joe is Assistant Professor at the Population Research Centre, Institute of Economic Growth, Delhi and is affiliated as the Bernard Lown Scholar with the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health, Boston.

Dr Kapil Yadav

MBBS, MD (Community Medicine)


Dr Kapil Yadav is Additional Professor at Centre for Community Medicine, AIIMS, New Delhi. His core area of work includes Iodine and Iron Deficiency Disorders.


Mansi Chopra

PhD (Food and Nutrition)


Mansi Chopra joined the National Centre of Excellence and Advanced Research on Diets (NCEAR-D), Lady Irwin College in March 2018. Being a part of the centre, she provides technical and administrative support to the center.

Avi Saini

Post Graduate in Public Health


Post Graduate in Public Health and NET (Social Medicine & Health) qualified. She has 10 years of experience in working with government (NHM Gujarat and Ministry of Health & Family Welfare) & civil society organizations on various public health issues including Nutrition, Maternal and Child Health.

Konsam Dinachandra Singh

Ph.D (Population Studies)


Konsam Dinachandra Singh has completed graduation in Zoology (Hons.), and Master in Anthropology from Manipur University. In addition, he has completed MPS, M.Phil. and Ph.D. in Population Studies from International Institute for Population Sciences (IIPS) located in Mumbai.

Naman Kaur

Naman Kaur received her M.Sc degree in Food and Nutrition from Amity University, Noida and is currently working as a Junior Professional at the National Centre of Excellence in Advanced Research on Diets, New Delhi (supported by UNICEF and placed at Lady Irwin College).

Tashi Choedon

M.Sc (Food and Nutrition)


Tashi Choedon joined the National Centre for Excellence and Advanced Research on diets (NCEARD), Lady Irwin College, Delhi University on October 2018. She has joined as a junior nutrition consultant and has supported in the development and pretesting of technical and operational guidelines, training modules and recipe books that have been used as the counselling materials.

Priyanshu Rastogi

M.Sc (Public Health Nutrition)


Priyanshu Rastogi joined the National Centre of Excellence and Advanced Research on Diets (NCEARD), Lady Irwin College, Delhi University in April 2019 as a Junior Professional. She holds her M.Sc. degree in Public Health Nutrition from the Department of Foods & Nutrition, Faculty of Family and Community Sciences, The M.S. University of Baroda, Vadodara.

Usman Siddiqui

Usman Siddiqui has done his PGD in Development Communication and Masters in Mass Communication from Jamia Millia Islamia, New Delhi. He has more than three years of experience of working with non-profit organizations as Communications Professional. In his previous roles, he was involved in promotion and branding through print media, audio-visuals, social media and events.
